On March 3, 2022, the East Kazakhstan branch of the Democratic Party of Kazakhstan "Ak Zhol" organized a debate tournament titled "We are Young - We Choose" in Ridder. The event brought together 4 teams of students.

The organizers were the Kazakhstan International Foundation for Legal Cooperation, the East Kazakhstan Regional Electoral Commission, and the East Kazakhstan Regional Branch of the Democratic Party of Kazakhstan "Ak Zhol".

The goal of the debate tournament was to raise the level of legal and electoral culture among young voters, increase interest in studying electoral law and the electoral process, and foster an active civic position among the younger generation through discussions that attract young people's attention to the given topic.

The winners of the debate were the following teams:

First place - "Young Lawyers" (Timur Kalzhanov, Alexander Ivanov)

Second place - "Optimists" (Liya Beisembayeva, Dinara Sauranbayeva)

Third place - "Leaders of KASU" (Vadim Yurovskikh)

Fourth place - "Themis" team (Galina Kharitonova, Aigul Erikova)

Fifth place - "Hamilton and Jefferson" team (Mikhail Petrov, Guldariya Mukhambetkaliyeva)

All winners were awarded honorary diplomas.
